Governor Jay Nixon, Yet Again, Calls on the General Assembly to Pass MONA in State of the State

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon delivered his last State of the State address to Missourian this month, January 2016. Nixon’s speech included strong support for the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act (MONA). Governor Nixon asserted, “I repeat my call for the General Assembly to pass the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act, which would prohibit discrimination against LGBT Missourians in employment, housing and public accommodations.”

500 Businesses in Missouri Oppose Discrimination

Over 500 Missouri-based companies have joined together in support of workplace protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Missourians. 

These companies – ranging from the small business to the Fortune 500 – hail from all corners of the Show Me State and recognize diversity and inclusiveness not as a program, but as a way that they do business. Together, they are adding their collective voices to the clarion call for equality and the passage of the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act (MONA).
